SUPREME COURT ANNULS TRIAL AGAINST WEICHAFE RODRIGO MELINAO AND CRISTIAN LEVINAO
PREPARATORY HEARING OF WERKEN DANIEL MELINAO IS SUSPENDED

Today, the Supreme Court announced the ruling on the appeal filed against the judgment that condemned our recently assassinated weichafe Rodrigo Melinao, and Mapuche political prisoner Cristian Levinao, to more than 6 years in prison, on charges of arson and damage to private property of Forestry Cautín.

The response was once again the declaration of A MISTRIAL, in the case that was conducted before the Criminal Oral Court in Angol, on July 24, due to repeated flaws committed during the development of the trial, which meant a serious violation of due process.

Furthermore, in the city of Collipulli, was suspended the preliminary hearing scheduled for today, for the cause in which is sought to condemn the Werken Daniel Melinao, of the community Winkul Wente Mapu, for the death of Sergeant Hugo Albornoz due to the lack of judges in the Court of Collipulli. A new date was set for October 9, at 09:30 am.

This new annulment of a judgment by the Supreme Court reaffirms what the communities in resistance and the Mapuche movement have strongly argued, that these trials are political-judicial-communicational setups, created by the public prosecutor, in conjunction with the courts of "justice", backed by national intelligence agencies.
 STOP THE JUDICIAL SETUPS!!!!
FREEDOM TO WERKEN DANIEL MELINAO AND ALL MAPUCHE POLITICAL PRISONERS!!
FREEDOM, TERRITORY AND AUTONOMY FOR THE MAPUCHE NATION!!!!
