Public Statement from the prison for Minors in Chol Chol by Gabriel Valenzuela Montoya, Mapuche Political Prisoner of the community Wente Winkul Mapu

Kiñe: Mari mari pu peñi, mari mari pu lamien, I announce to the public opinion that today, October 4th of 2013, I am held one year and one month imprisoned in the prison of Chol Chol accused by a setup of the prosecutor Luis Chamorro, who only wants to destroy my people and prosecute the Mapuche youth's to imprison them, including Mapuche minors and other peñis who struggle, like he does with Eric Montoya,
who is more than a year in hiding accused by a political setup of this anti Mapuche prosecutor, who just wants to imprison us the youth's who do not do anything wrong, we are only fighting for our lands stolen by settlers, logging companies, foreigners and by the Chilean state's system.

Epu: After more than a year of imprisonment the setup of the prosecutor is evident, who has failed to articulate his web of lies, and even less has he managed to quell our spirit, still firm in my convictions my spirit remains high, no prosecutor of this Chilean state will achieve to subdue us.

Kila: Once again, I state that my hands are clean, and I demand together with my family and community to the prosecutor and the entire judicial system, to carry out the necessary actions to clarify the death of our deceased brother.

Lastly, I call on all people, Mapuche and non-Mapuche, who believe in the struggle of our People, to join me and demand the resumption of our judicial process.
