Great Mapuche march in the city of Temuco on Wednesday

 Public statement:

The Mapuche community Wente Wigkul Mapu and the Mapuche Territorial Alliance (ATM), communicate to the national and international public opinion and summon a Mapuche national march in the city of Temuco, historical territory of our nation.

1. The false and vitiated trials erected by the Chilean government against the leaders of the Mapuche Nation fighting for territory, have concluded with our brothers imprisoned and a long hunger strike calling for freedom, and other assuming clandestinity as legitimate political act of rebellion against such injustice.

 2. We value and fully support the message and the call for the "March for Freedom of the Mapuche Nation" made by the werken of the ATM Mijael Carbone Queipul for Wednesday 24 of the present from 11 hours in the Plaza Hospital in Temuco. A march to support our communities and to which we fraternally invite you to participate, as a clear sign of unconditional support to our weychafe on hunger strike in the prisons of Angol and Temuco and denounce the political-military installation called ADI-Ercilla.

3. Finally, understanding the condition of clandestinity in which the principal representative of the ATM finds himself, we established that the authorized spokesmanship to the media for the march will be led by the werken of the community Wente Winkul Mapu, in order to reaffirm our commitment and support to a community pursued by this genocidal government. And at the same time, it will be our lamgen (women) who lead this massive protest of the Mapuche nation.

For the continuity of our struggle, inheritance of Mariluan, Magil Wenu and Kilapang, the Mapuche youth has taken up the call of our ancestors.
