Mapuche prisoners on hunger strike in the prison of Temuco reported being constantly harassed by prison guards.

This is about Leonardo Quijón Pereira, Luís Marileo Cariqueo, Fernando Millacheo Marín, Guido Bahamondes and Cristian Levinao Melinao, who adopted this measure of manifestation to request their transfer to the prison of Angol.

According to their spokeswoman, Gabriela Calfucoy, since three days gendarmes go every 20 minutes into their cells to harass them, a situation that is not normal the woman said.
 


Before they did this only once in the morning and in the afternoon. In addition, she said that officials supposedly took food to the community members to entice them to eat.

The five Mapuche have been 14 days on hunger strike, they show a decrease in weight of up to 10 kilos each.
