The Collective for the Freedom of the Mapuche Political Prisoners of Malleco denounces to the national and international public opinion the endless harassment and persecution that our peñi Luis Marileo Cariqueo and his family receive daily, especially his little son, of just one year, by the Chilean government with its policy of repression and violence.
After more than six months of my detention without proofs, accused of robbery with homicide and kidnapping, I publicly denounce those who, without any qualms have held me in the prison of Angol, as there is the corrupt prosecutor and persecutor of Collupulli, Luis Chamorro, who has not been able to clarify the death of settler Guillermo Gallardo, who obeying repressive political purposes, funded by the Chilean State, has done nothing but manipulate evidence and the Gallardo family, taking advantage of the pain they feel.
We denounce their intentions to delegitimize our process of fight and recovery of our ancestral territory, usurped by landholders and mega companies who have done nothing but destroying it and over-exploiting it.
I demand a fair, transparent and fast trial. It is not possible that I have to pay for a crime that I have never committed and that the real culprits enjoy freedom. I call on the Gallardo family to transparency and truth, no more lies, for the peace of all.
Lastly I call upon the Communities to continue to reclaim our territory, that the repression, violence and prison exercised by the Chilean state, not be an obstacle for the reclaiming and liberation of our Mapuche territory. We encourage all who are able to recognize our fight and our ancestral rights to move forward, by screaming in the streets, by visiting us in the prisons and by using various forms of protest.
Remember the Mapuche hunt that Prosecutor Luis Chamorro is holding, we are locked up like animals and nobody says anything.
FREEDOM TO ALL MAPUCHE POLITICAL PRISONERS!!!!
Luis Marileo Cariqueo
